Newly Released This Morning… THE WAY YOU TOUCH ME

Hello all:

I am pleased to announce the release of the 8th song to be featured on my album AN ETCHING IN TIME; The Way You Touch Me.

I really had a difficult time putting all the pieces together in this arrangement but I think the work and patience was worth the result. Whoever said writing music was easy never wrote music – lol!

Just follow the link below to listen – I hope it fills your heart with peace and joy – -

Nothing like doing something twice –

Nothing like doing something twice – especially when it’s coding a website. Then there are the countless [hours] that are spent trying to get things to work and finally you just have to concede and say, “It’s not going to happen.”

I really hate giving up but in the end, sometimes you just gotta.

Take, for instance, the new PhotoStudio. I have been working for 2 days trying to get the stupid (yes I said stupid) slideshow to work and it just isn’t going to happen. I’m so frustrated I could scream – not to mention I’ve been spending all my time away from my day job working on this website and I haven’t had any time to… well… create anything – and that is frustrating me too!

Whew – whinning session over. :-)

I had another hard art life lesson tonight…

THe art piece I’ve been working hard on for over 2 weeks – Fallen – has just not come together. Yeah, I know I was so pumped with the idea and the inspiration but it just wasn’t coming out like I want. After working on it for many hours I NOW have an idea in my head how it should all come together. So, you could say I had to give up – and I did. But I haven’t stopped working on the project. I think it’s a good idea and worthy project so back to the drawing board (I really hate that saying right now) and time to start over from scratch.

Lesson learned: It’s okay to give in to an art piece that’s not coming together in a way that makes you feel good about it. It’s not my fault . . . there’s nothing to blame. It just wouldn’t work. Get mad and throw a temper tantrum, cry, scream, cuss – do whatever it is you have to do – then move on. There’s plenty of really good art still left hidden away upstairs in that goofy compartment I call a brain –

Stay tuned . . .

New Art Mixed Media Project – Update 08062011

So I’ve been working on this project “FALLEN” and it’s been very interesting. One week into the project and it’s definitely traveled in several directions. I’ve been photographing each stage so that when it’s completed I can make a slideshow/movie. But I know many of you want to know how it’s coming so I’ll let you peek in on it right now . . .
